'I Wanna Go' Hits No. 1 On Billboard Pop Songs Chart

Britney Spears, the Queen of Pop, has reached new heights with her sixth No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Songs Chartthanks to her latest single, "I Wanna Go." Britney's other previous Pop Songs No. 1 hits include "...Baby One More Time," "Oops!...I Did It Again," "Toxic," "Womanizer" and "Circus."
"Spears claims the mark for the longest span of No. 1s on Billboard's Pop Songs chart, as 'I Wanna Go' rises 2-1 on the Nielsen BDS-based mainstream top 40 radio airplay tally. Spears scored the first of her six No. 1s on the chart the week of Feb. 20, 1999, with '...Baby One More Time.' With this week's listing dated Sept. 24, she extends her stretch of leading the list to a record 12 years, seven months and four days." —Billboard.com
Congrats, B!

'I Wanna Go' Voted Best Song of Summer 2011

A readers poll on RollingStone.com has dubbed "I Wanna Go" as the Best Song of the Summer! Britney beat out fellow talented female artists Adele and Lady Gaga for the top spot. The article states:
"This contest wasn't even close. Britney won by a landslide, which shouldn't come as any surprise. The woman works with the most successful pop songwriters in the industry. This track was co-written by Swedish songwriting legend Max Martin – the man behind everything from 'Since U Been Gone' to 'I Want It That Way' to Britney's first hit '...Baby One More Time.' He's a 40-year-old Swedish guy, but he knows exactly what American teenage girls want to blast in their cars. The video for 'I Wanna Go' starts with Britney giving a press conference, which is hysterical because she's one of the least media-accessible singers in the world. It's easier to get a sit-down with Bob Dylan than it is with Britney." —RollingStone.com

Cheryl Cole Planning Britney Spears Duet?

Cheryl Cole is apparently hoping to collaborate with Britney Spears.
After rubbing shoulders with Cameron Diaz on the set of their new movie, What To Expect When You’re Not Expecting, it seems Chezza has set her sights on another Hollywood A-Lister in the shape of Miss. Spears.
According to Now magazine, the Girls Aloud beauty is hoping to hit the studio with Britney after asking producer JR Rotem – who both Cheryl and Spears have worked with – for the pop princess’ number.
Speaking of a possible Chezza and Brit hook-up, a pal of the Fight For This Love singer told the mag: “She’d love to do a duet with Britney for her next album.”
The reports come after Cole’s bodyguard Craig Balkam claimed that Cheryl wanted to make friends with Britney, telling The Mirror: “She used to talk about Britney Spears. She kept saying that she wanted to help Britney.”
He added: “She thought she could become like a big sister to her and make her normal again after all her crazy behaviour.”
Cheryl has also been linked to collaborations with Rihanna, Usher and Christina Aguilera – after she was spotted meeting with both Xtina and the OMG hitmaker in LA.

Britney Lands at LAX

Britney Lands at LAX

Britney landed at LAX on Wednesday with boyfriend Jason Trawick after their trip to France for manager Adam Leber’s wedding. According to BauerGriffnOnline.com, “She was taken straight off the plane and onto the tarmac where she was ushered into an outdated American Airlines vehicle labeled ‘Safety.’” Looks like Brit enjoyed herself and spent a lot of time outdoors. Ouch!

Britney Spears Calls VMA Tribute 'An Honor' Spears tells MTV News her onstage smooch with Lady Gaga's Jo Calderone wasn't planned

Britney Spears played it humble during her Video Music Awards tribute -- using her time onstage to shine the spotlight on her fellow performer, Beyoncé -- not an easy feat to accomplish in between nabbing the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and getting kissed by Lady Gaga's male alter ego Jo Calderone.

When MTV News caught up with Spears minutes after stepping offstage, she stayed humble, calling the tribute "an honor" and once again deflecting the spotlight.
"It was really crazy. I had no idea what to expect," Spears said. "The kids were amazing and so entertaining, and it was a really fun night. It was really cool. I was like, 'Wow, that's really sweet!'
"I loved the little girl in the 'Slave' outfit," she continued. "She was just so tiny and she delivered and she had such a great performance. ... They were all so great, and you could tell they worked really hard."

And Spears didn't stop there either. For an artist who's won more than her fare share of VMAs in her career, she was blown away by Sunday night'sBest Pop Video triumph. "Every year ... just to come here is such an honor, you never get used to it," she smiled. "But tonight means so much to me." In a night full of high-water moments, it was her tribute smooch from Gaga -- er, Calderone -- that she gushed about backstage. Especially because she said the kiss was totally unplanned.
"She was in full character!" Spears said. "We just got onstage and we just kind of felt it out; we didn't know what was going on, so it was interesting!"

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards have wrapped, but the real action is just getting started! Stick with MTV News for winnersfashionpics, video and behind-the-scenes stories about everything that went down. Visit VMA.MTV.com for the latest.

Hold It Against Me Lyrics Britney Spears

Hold It Against Me Lyrics Britney Spears

She's done it again, Hold It Against
Me is a massive hit for Britney Spears
It's her first release since the release of the single
'3. It was produced my music maestros
 Dr Luke and Max Martin.
The question of the title is actually a classic come on line - we
wonder how many people
will use it now that Britney has 'given' it to the masses....

Here's the lyrics to Hold It Against Me:

Hey over there
Please forgive me
If I’m coming on too strong
Hate to stare
But you’re winning
And they’re playing my favorite song

So come here
A little closer
Wanna whisper in your ear
Make It clear
Little question
Wanna know just how you feel

If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

Hey You might think
That I’m crazy
But I you know I’m just your type
I’mma be a little hazy
But you just cannot deny

There’s a spark in between us
When we’re dancing on the floor
I want more
Wanna see It
So I’m asking you tonight

If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now

Would you hold it against me?

Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

If I said I want your body
Would It Hold It Against Me?

(Yeah)

(Ah)

(Oh)

Gimme something good
Don't wanna wait I want It now (na-na-now)
Pop It like a hood
And show me how you work It out

(alright)
If I said my heart was beating loud
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?

What do you think of Britney's lyrics?

I'm still of the view that Lady Gaga and Ms Spears should do a duet - what do you think?

Britney Spears Talks Latest Single, What She’d Do Differently

Today, we all know Britney Spears as one of the biggest pop stars of our time, but thirteen years ago, she was a sixteen-year-old unknown about to release her first single. “…Baby One More Time” would go on to be a international hit for Spears, with her debut album of the same name going on to sell over twenty-six million copies worldwide.
In a rare interview with the pop princess, now twenty-nine, Glamour Magazine UK asked her what advice she would give her sixteen-year-old self. “To have fun,” Spears said. “I was having fun then, but in the beginning I think I was fearful. So I’d just say, try to embrace moments more, have a good time with life, and don’t take it so seriously.”
The unsinkable performer has certainly made this her year. Spears kicked off 2011 with her hit single “Hold It Against Me”, which went straight to number one after debuting in January. The spring brought more success for the Grammy winner when her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, also debuted in the top spot on the Billboard charts. This summer, fans have been treated to seeing Spears live during her well received Femme Fatale Tour, which she will take overseas this fall. Just last week, she appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards where she was honored with not only the statue for Best Pop Video, but also the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
So what’s next for the music superstar? More of the same. When asked what the key to her longevity is, Spears said, “It’s because I love what I do and I don’t take myself so seriously. I’m on this journey and I’ve had so much fun so far. I genuinely have a blast and I really don’t listen to the critics.”
Listen for a remixed version of Spears’ latest single, “Criminal”, to be released on the radio soon, with a music video to follow. The always-hardworking performer already has the clip planned out, telling MTV, “It’s really different and it’s nothing I’ve heard before, so I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.”
Being a Britney fan myself, I couldn’t be more thrilled at the choice. She’s right about it being different – not only has she never recorded anything like it, but you’d be hard pressed to find something similar from any pop artist out there today.

Britney Teases 'Criminal' Video

Britney Teases 'Criminal' Video

Judging from her super-sexy cover shoot for Glamour UK, Britney is majorly gearing up for the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour kick-off on September 22 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Britney even tweeted her excitement earlier today, including a tidbit of juicy info about her "Criminal" video shoot!
"So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home. Decided to shoot the "Criminal" video in the streets of merry old England when I get there... -Britney" (via @britneyspears)

Is Britney Spears Really Singing On Unreleased Track “Turn It Up”?

Britney SpearsAh, the drama that ensues whenever a supposed unheard Britney Spears demo pops up online — the speculation as to why it didn’t make it onto an album; the pondering over what artist will wind up with the throwaway track; and, of course, the endless bickering by The Internet as to whether or not it’s actually the recent MTV VMA winner’s voice on the song. We don’t really have the answer to that last one. But, regardless, you can hear the alleged Spears jam “Turn It Up” below.

If this is indeed Brit-Brit, maybe she felt she already did the whole lesbi-friendly thing with “If U Seek Amy”? Otherwise, perhaps it’s a Spears-penned demo intended for a male artist?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that she just received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2011 VMAs. Or maybe it's because she courtesy kissed Lady GagaJo Calderone. Or, maybe it's just 'cause she lap-danced DJ Pauly D's neck (neck-danced?) while on her "Femme Fatale" tour. But whatever it is, Britney Spears is looking DAYUM GOOD on the cover of the October issue of Glamour UK.
Wearing a long-sleeve, metallic, blue-and-gray-ombre dress (and are those OSTRICH FEATHERS? TO DIE!), Britney is working some intensely effective eyeliner along with some immaculate blonde hair. After the smokin' hot cover shoot was complete, Britney tweeted: "had so much fun doing this shoot for @GlamourMagUK! Can't wait to see all my UK fans next month… -Brit." Now, we're gonna call this out real quick and say that Britney doesn't exactly look like, well, she had any fun taking this picture. Instead, Brit's got the smoldering stare of a love criminal. (If you want our professional opinion, Britney's saying this: "Don't mess with me. I could outsell you in like, five seconds flat so fall back." No, seriously.
And speaking of "Criminal," Britney just tweeted that she'll be shooting her "Criminal" videothere. Britney for Queen!
In the rest of the Glamour spread, Britney rocks a very slinky lingerie top, a skintight black dress with thigh-high lace-up boots, and of course, a barely there boudoir ensemble that's hidden beneath what we're sure are 9,000-thread-count Pratesi sheets. Werquit, girl.

Britney Spears To Shoot ‘Criminal’ Video In England

281x211 Britney Spears To Shoot Criminal Video In EnglandBefore Britney Spears kicks off the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour later this month, she is taking care of a little business in England. Spears took to Twitter to reveal that the country would serve as the locale for her “Criminal” video.
“So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks,” she tweeted. “Can’t wait! I LOVE London, it’s like my second home. Decided to shoot the ‘Criminal’ video in the streets of merry old England when I get there…”
The news of the video shoot comes a week or so after the singer revealed to MTV News that her next single would be the Femme Fatale slow jam. She also teased that she had some interesting ideas for the video.
“The song, when I first heard it, it’s really different and it’s not anything I’ve heard like this before,” she told us backstage at the VMAs. “So I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.”

عنوان المشاركةBritney Was A Big Part Of The Decision Making For The I Wanna Go Music Video

Chris Marrs Piliero, the director of “I Wanna Go” music video talked with New York Post about Britney and the new funny video:
PopWrap: How did you team up with Britney?
Chris Marrs Piliero: She hit me up and asked me to put together a concept for the song. Simple as that. Having been a fan for a while, I was stoked to get the call since I’ve always thought she was one of the cooler pop artists.
PW: Where did the idea for this video come from?
Chris: The song is really fun, really upbeat with lots of sexual undertones — but the key lyric for me was “be a little inappropriate.” That stood out but I didn’t want to make a video that was all about sexual inappropriateness – that wasn’t the vibe that either of us wanted. We were on the same page about exploring fun ways for her to be inappropriate. She’s Britney Spears – how would you react if you asked for an autograph and she grabbed your ass?!?
PW: Were you worried that this might feel like “ugh, another paparazzi blasting video?
Chris: No. I’ve seen all of her videos and really wanted to pull what I loved about Britney from those, but give it something fresh. One thing that stood out to me was all her references to the paparazzi were always more of a statement than an action. She’d never embraced the opportunity to lash out, fight back. I thought this was the perfect chance to be tongue in cheek but also get her to say “f*** off!”
PW: Literally! Was there any pushback from her or her camp about the F-bombs?
Chris: I wrote the beginning not knowing if she’d be down to do it, but I was stoked at how game she was. Being a fan, I’ve seen her on “How I Met Your Mother” and “Saturday Night Live” – I feel like no video has really taken advantage of her comedic timing. Even when her videos have a narrative, they never embraced that aspect of her. She never had a music video where she could show her acting chops and have fun with comedy while being super badass. That was my goal from day one: I wanted her to be funny, badass and super cool.
PW: There have been lots of rumors about how Britney is just being propped up by her team and pointed at the stage. As someone who has worked with her, how much truth is there to that?
Chris: Let me tell you, all of that is bulls***. Every artist has management, that’s their job. It’s what they’re paid for. I work with the artist. Your question goes along perfectly with the whole concept of the video and that press conference – it’s a ridiculous, exaggerated rumor about her life and career. I met with her, talked with her, went over the concept with her. It was extremely collaborative. She suggested alternatives and tweaked other things. As much as the management is there, this was a concept that Britney really dug. She was a big part of the decision-making process.
PW: Lastly, the video features a marquee for “Crossroads 2: Cross Harder.” I love that, where did it come from?
Chris: I needed a movie title for the marquee and thought that would be perfect. It’s a fun Easter egg for fans. Plus, “Die Hard 2: Die Harder” is the most ridiculously awesome way to title a sequel. It just felt like the right thing to do. When Britney saw it, she loved it.
